Ouch! The pain of Shingles

A very frequent question I get asked by those in their golden years is: “Should I get the Shingles vaccine?”

First, I’m not a big fan of trying to treat every disease, especially virus related illnesses, with a vaccine. I don’t like them and I don’t trust Big Pharma with what’s in them and that there will be no long term effects.

Personally, I believe that the Chicken Pox vaccine is in part responsible for Shingles showing up in ever younger people, some now in their 20’s are getting shingles when it was usually in people 60+ years of age. There has to be a reason, I think its because of the vaccine, but it could be totally unrelated, in any case, the number one reason ANYONE gets shingles is because they have a weakened or compromised Immune System – Period!

Shingles is caused by the chicken pox virus already being in your body but usually lies dormant until a period of high stress or other issues resulting in a compromised or weakened Immune System.

I had a friend in their 20’s get shingles and went to the doctor of which they usually tell you there is nothing they can do because it is a virus or give you a topical creme that may help with the symptom of itching and pain. In their case, the doctor recommended getting the Shingrix® or Zostavax® vaccine which they will tell you it should take about 3 weeks to kick in. Well, not only did it NOT kick in, it made matters way, way worse.

Here’s the good news, my research has uncovered treatments that some personally claim cured them from shingles in as little as 48 hours. Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor or medically trained professional and therefore do not diagnose or treat ailments. What I am is a researcher that compiles the best alternative health information I can find and put it into terms so that you can understand it and apply it to your own situation should you so choose to do so.

So from Dr. Mercola https://articles.mercola.com/shingles.aspx his recommendations are to get Manuka Honey or local raw unprocessed honey and apply it to the infected areas several times a day.  Take an amino acid called L-lysine, drink plenty of water, and take vitamin C (more on that in a bit).

Dr. Thomas Levy MD JD recommends 2,000 – 3,000 mg Vitamin C injections (shots) every 12 hours for 3-4 days plus taking 1,000 mg Sodium Ascorbate (buffered vitamin c) in juice every 2 hours. Dr. Mohammed Zureick treated 327 shingles patients with this protocol and all were cured within 72 hours. The pioneer was Dr. Frederick Klenner who I reference often, where he developed this treatment and 7 of the 8 shingles patients started experiencing relief in as little as 2 hours after the first injection.

Dr. Eric Berg has a video on YouTube that goes into a lot of detail, but other than the things already noted, he adds taking Vitamins D3 and K2 in high doses for short periods of time. I whole heartedly agree, as high doses of Vitamin D3 have shown much promise in strengthening the Immune System which is what is needed to get rid of shingles and other viral infections as well.

If I had shingles, here is what I would do:

  • Get Sodium Ascorbate and take 2,000mg in Organic Apple juice every 2 hours for the next 4 days.
  • Get Organic Coconut Oil which has antiviral properties and make a mixture of it, aloe vera jell and Sodium Ascorbate into a paste and apply it directly to the infected area 3-5 times a day.
  • Apply a cold compress to the infected area to reduce the pain.
  • Drink an 8 oz glass of water every 2 hours, this would help flush out the virus toxins as the body is working to rid itself of this intruder.
  • Up my intake of Vitamin D3 to 50,000 IU a day for 3-4 days maximum. Combining it with 500 mcg Vitamin K2 will increase its ability to be absorbed.
  • Drink an 8 oz glass of 50 ppm Colloidal Silver once in the morning and one again in the evening, this would count towards my 8 oz of water. Colloidal Silver is known for its anti-viral properties. You can get your own Colloidal Silver generator which is much cheaper than buying pre-bottled CS at a store. See http://AvAg47.com
  • If I was in horrible pain, I’d opt for doing a 25,000mg Sodium Ascorbate push. This is an infusion of a lot of Sodium Ascorbate directly into the colon which is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream through the intestinal walls. I’ve done several of these and they are highly effective for super charging the Immune System which is what is needed in fighting off shingles or other viral infections such as the flu, west nile virus, or zika.
  • I already take L-Lysine and would continue to take the 2,000mg per day and I’ve seen articles recommending a zinc supplement of which I take 100mg per day as well, this will aid in the recovery stage and accelerate healing.

That’s what I would do if I had shingles as I’d want to get rid of it as fast as possible, reducing my risk of developing complications of long lasting regional pain, risk of blindness, and reduce risk of developing heart disease.

I hope this helps, like I said, I get asked at almost every talk I do about getting the vaccine, the above is my typical response. Get my book below, it outlines multiple ways to strengthen your Immune System so you might become one of those people who never get sick again!

In defense of Dr. Sherri Tenpenny

This post is in response to an article on Logic of Science
Talk about calling the kettle black, this is one seriously biased and uninformed article against the work of Dr. Sherri Tenpenny.
Let’s apply your logic to another situation:
The first premise is that all current science theories will eventually be proven out to be true, which is false from the very start.
At one time, “scientists” some very smart guys all believed that the Earth was flat, all the documentation written was with that theory in mind. Had they written 10,000 articles, papers, blogs, tv shows, radio shows and Scientific American articles, when another “scientist” questioned the existing theory and published the first article, it would NOT have changed what the truth eventually was proven to be. 1 article against 10,000 WOULD be the needle in the haystack and WOULD have been very hard to find.
Truths typically go through 3 stages:

  • First: they are generally ignored;
  • Second: they are violently opposed and ridiculed;
  • Third: eventually they are accepted as self-evident and we wondered why they were ever even doubted.

This article is in stage 2, opposed and ridiculed.
She’s correct, there are hundreds of thousands of articles, papers, and studies proclaiming the trustworthiness of vaccines and how safe they are. At the same time there are several thousand trials, studies, and cases of injured people who have been awarded monetary damages due to vaccine related injuries and deaths, those so called outliers are not single point conclusions, but in fact replicated often times from independent and unrelated studies and trials.
If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail! The western/traditional/conventional medical trained modalities are two fold, the first is to treat an ailment or illness with chemicals which are called drugs, the second is surgery to attempt to repair, remove, or replace something in or on the human body.
Case in point, Dr. Frederick Klenner MD during the 1948-49 outbreak of poliomyelitis (polio), 60 cases came into his office and ALL 60 left his office fully cured with NO permanent paralysis. That is a 100% cure rate utilizing mega-dosing Sodium Ascorbate to bolster the immune system to fight and defeat the poliomyelitis virus. This was 6 years before the first polio vaccine was produced. Was that an outlier? Hardly, a doctor in Germany used the same protocols that Dr. Klenner did with the exact same results? Duplication is a condition of science to confirm a theory into proven science, case closed. However, when Dr. Klenner presented this protocol to a Medical convention, it literally fell on deaf ears and was not even looked at? I’m not going to speculate as to why, its just a fact that it was. Doesn’t change the results one bit. Read for yourself http://www.doctoryourself.com/klennerbio.html or Cure of Polio and other Viral Infections
Dr. Linus Pauling PhD, winner of two individual Nobel Prizes, grandfather of modern chemistry and one of the most brilliant minds of the 20th century, was then duped into believing that mega-dosing nutritional therapies was somehow better than all the antibiotics, drugs, and surgeries available to humankind. He was ridiculed, but now, some 20+ years later, he is slowly being vindicated that his research was solid science, even though reputable organizations such as Mayo Clinic did “clinical” trials that attempted to disproved his “theories”. But when the Mayo Clinic trial information was looked at deeper that “proved” Dr. Pauling’s finding were erroneous, it was found that the study was set up to fail and that the levels of Vitamin C used was of such a low amount, it was no wonder their results were shown to be what they wanted. Now trials are showing that if a person takes, 2,000 mg to 5,000 mg of Vitamin C per day when a cold starts that it will shorten that cold by a significant amount of time. So you could have 4 million studies that prove that it doesn’t and 2 that it does, will not change the truth, that when ample amounts of Vitamin C are taken, it will strengthen a person’s immune system to the point of fighting and defeating many if not all viral and bacterial infections.
So before passing judgment, go spend $10 and read as much stuff on her site as you can and then go about your disproving each and every point that she makes from her library with studies NOT done by conflict of interest universities, internal medically biased hospitals, or pharmaceutical companies.
BTW, “observational” studies are quoted all the time by “science” and “medical” people, if they are valid for them, they are certainly equally as valid for anti-vaxers, alternative and complimentary medical people as well. You DON’T get to have it both ways.
